Tiptoes & Tappers proudly presents
“A Decade of Motion”
As most of you know, every other year we hire a professional Theatre and produce a full scale dance show! Think lights, costumes, cameras and of course your star performers!
This year is a particularly special year for us as Tiptoes is 10!!! I can’t quite believe that it was a decade ago we started with one class a week at the Forum!
Putting on a show of this size is a huge undertaking and takes months of planning and preparation.
It also require a huge amount of support from you!
Please read this information below carefully, there is lots of information about the show itself and all rehearsals, photo shoots, costume fittings and lots more!
This year we have hired the Geenwood Theatre in the heart of London – a short walk from London Bridge tube station.
This is a lovely 450 seat theatre owned by Kings College London.
The Greenwood Theatre,
55 Weston Street,
By tube: London Bridge
Parking: NCP car park on Weston Street
The Show will be held on Sunday July 15th with a tentative start time at 4pm (doors to open at 3.45pm)
There will be rehearsals at the theatre during the day starting at 10am on July 15th.
We aim to have the show finished and all students back to you for 6pm.
We have started teaching the students parts of their routines already although rehearsals will start in earnest after the Easter Holidays.
There will be amendments to the timetable after Easter as we start to put the performance together as well as dates for full rehearsals, costume fittings and photo shoots. Wherever possible we will try to keep changes to a minimum and as close to normal class times as possible.
As you can imagine hiring a theatre, technicians, costumes backstage and front of house staff, licenses and a number of other necessities comes at quite a high cost!
To help keep the theatre ticket costs a low as possible we ask for parents to pay a production fee of £42.50 per performer.
This fee covers the cost of your child’s performance license, chaperone licenses, costume hire and provides them with a Tiptoes cast T shirt which they will keep at the end of the performance.
In accordance with the Children (performance and activities) Regulations 2014, we are required to have an exemption license for each student taking part in the performance.
If you would like your child to participate in this production please complete the online form. This can be found under special events on the Tiptoes website or click the button below.
Please note: We are unable to have children under the age of 5 years take part in this performance.
THE DEADLINE FOR PERFORMANCE LICENSE FORMS IS JANUARY 1ST. PLEASE COMPLETE THE FORM BEFORE THIS DATE!
NO LICENSE FORM = NO SHOW
If you have any further questions about the performance please email me and I will start to put an FAQ page together and post it on the website.
