Each day we will be running Ballet classes in Primary, Grade1, Grade 2 and Grade 3. As so many of the children have just moved up to their new grades we think this will be the prefect opportunity to solidify the work so we can work on technique and hopefully fly through our next ballet exams!
Progressive Ballet Technique!
This is a wonderful syllabus that combines Pilates, Ballet and Yoga. This new syllabus is designed to help children strengthen their ballet technique and the muscles needed for harder work in a safe way. We will use yoga balls, resistance bands, pilates balls and even squash balls to help with everything from increasing our young ballerinas pointe to enhancing turn-out and strengthening core.
From September we will be including the new bbodance Musical Theatre syllabus into our Jazz classes. We will be teaching some of the work and showing our dancers what to expect when they join these classes in September.
We will be enjoying free style tap classes with an emphasis on American style tap – your children will earn to “shim sham” “paddle” as well as work on technique and new rhythms.
Our very own Holly has a masters degree in Contemporary dance from Trinity Laban – she will be putting her skills to good use teaching all students some exciting new work.
We will be creating new commercial dance routines as well as enjoying a seriously aerobic warm up and body condtitioning.
We will be exploring different method for creating new pieces of
dance in different disciplines devised by the students.
West End Work shop
Lastly we will be inviting a performer (or two) from the West End to come and teach some choreography from one of the many West End hit shows….
